Gunung Api is an isolated volcanic peak rising from the heart of the Banda Sea and home to thousands of sea snakes. Curious and unafraid of divers, this exotic snake takes a breath of air from the surface before swirling through the water toward my camera. Extremely venomous, these snakes are non-aggressive and almost harmless to divers With such a small mouth, a bite is nearly impossible.
